Offline-capable POS with dual USD/KHR pricing, Bakong KHQR payments, barcode scanning, stock management, a customer-facing display and a Khmer/English UI.
SOSO POS is a desktop point-of-sale system designed around how small shops in Cambodia actually sell: prices in both US dollars and Khmer riel, change calculated across currencies, and customers paying by scanning a Bakong KHQR code on their phone.
Highlights
- Dual currency: every price, total and change amount is shown in USD and KHR with a configurable exchange rate.
- KHQR payments: generates Bakong-compatible QR codes and shows them on a second, customer-facing display.
- Barcode-first checkout: scan-to-add, quantity shortcuts and quick product search.
- Inventory: stock import/export, low-stock tracking and product management.
- Bilingual: the whole UI switches between Khmer and English.
How it’s built
The app is a Tauri v2 shell around a React 19 + Vite + Tailwind 4 frontend. Business logic and persistence live in an Express 5 sidecar backed by SQLite (via sql.js), so the shop keeps selling even when the internet drops.
